IT Systems Support Engineer (m/w/d)

We are seeking an IT Systems Support Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to manage and maintain our organization’s IT infrastructure.

TPC Germany GmbH specializes in turnkey engineering services for the semiconductor industry. The TPC Germany GmbH is a newly established German subsidiary of Taiwan Puritic Corp. (TPC), which was founded in 1996.

The infrastructure includes

• Our existing ERP and new in-house application systems
• Cybersecurity of our email and file systems
• The endpoints management

The ideal candidate should have:

• Excellent system administration skills of operating systems (both Microsoft Windows server and Linux system)
• Fundamental cybersecurity concepts for our Microsoft 365 Exchange email system and file systems. Willing to learn cybersecurity to ensure our systems are well protected
• Enthusiasm in endpoint management: Coordinating with the vendor to provide proper end-user’s hardware and software support
• Fluent in English and Mandarin

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cybersecurity for email and file system to ensure the security of the data and information
• Manage existing ERP system and experience in Linux and Windows systems
• Coordinate end-user laptop/desktop technical support with external support vendors
• Provide direct end-user technical support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them in a timely manner
• Oversee Malwarebytes Enterprise anti-virus solutions to protect client systems
• Manage servers, ensuring they are optimized, secure, and properly backed up
• Administer and maintain Windows servers, ensuring their stability and security
• Manage and maintain Linux (Ubuntu) servers for various applications and services
• Ensure enterprise applications (ex. ERP, Office 365) are running smoothly by monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues with application owners
• Ensure network uptime by monitoring and managing network performance and resolving any connectivity issues
• Maintain the security of the network, clients, and servers by applying patches, updates, and configuring firewalls
• Ensure servers, storage, and databases are backed up regularly, and configure failover systems to ensure redundancy
• Manage user access through Active Directory, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and maintaining proper access levels
• Provision and configure VPN, anti-virus, and other necessary configurations for end users and devices
• Ensure the overall IT environment, including servers, network, and endpoints, is up and running smoothly
